Accessibility

This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is an aim we test against rather than a certification, and the paragraphs below say specifically what has been checked and how.

Text contrast is checked by a script that runs against the built pages in a real browser rather than against the design file, because gradients and transparency defeat the usual way of reading colours out of a stylesheet.

One section on the home page uses white text over a gradient. Its worst case is computed analytically rather than sampled, and it measures 6.73 to 1 against the lightest point of that gradient, above the 4.5 to 1 the standard asks for body text.

Every animation on this site is built from a small set of shared primitives, and reduced motion is handled in one place rather than component by component. If your system is set to reduce motion, entrance animations are removed, the logo marquee stops, and smooth scrolling is turned off.

Every interactive element takes keyboard focus and shows a visible focus ring. A skip link is the first thing in the tab order on every page.

Headings are used in order and describe the content under them rather than being chosen for size. Images carry alt text that describes the image, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than given invented descriptions.

Animated counters are hidden from assistive technology and the real figure is exposed as text, so a screen reader is never read a number mid-count.

The booking calendar on the contact page is embedded from Cal.com and is their interface, not ours. We can theme it; we cannot fix it. If it gets in your way, the same page carries direct email addresses and phone numbers for both founders.

This site has not been audited by an external accessibility specialist, and it has not been tested end to end with every screen reader.
